Great morning walk and wade. We hit the water around 8 am and it was sunny, and cool. The air temp got to around 80 at noon. Purple hippie stomper's in size 14 were getting a lot of looks and few grabs. The water was a bit off color, so we focused on fishing some flashier droppers. We picked up fish on #10 golden stoneflies, #18 frenchies, #16 jujubaetis, and #16 blowtorches. Lots of bug activity (bring your bug spray as the mosquitoes were out in force) including caddis and some relatively large PMD's (size 14). Rises were sporadic, but we were able to target rising fish and get them to eat a size 14 parachute Adams with a good presentation. The flows are ideal in this section for wading right now. Keep an eye on the water temps though as they reached the low 60's around noon.
