Denver, CO is one of the more under-appreciated fly fishing destinations, with world-class fly fishing for trophy trout and warm water species right out our shop door. Fly Fishing trips out of our Trouts Denver location take place on the South Platte River, the North Fork of the South Platte River, the Middle Fork of the South Platte River, Clear Creek, Bear Creek, and Tarryall Creek. Due to it's proximity to floatable waters, only walk/wade fly fishing trips are available from our Denver location.
Our Frisco location, based in the heart of Summit County, is literally surrounded in all directions by trout water and is an ideal destination for anyone looking to experience Rocky Mountain trout fishing at it's best. Fly Fishing trips out of our Trouts Frisco location take place on the Blue River, Colorado River, Arkansas River, Eagle River, Roaring Fork River, Williams Fork River, Frying Pan River, and South Platte River. Our Frisco location offers both walk/wade and float fly fishing trips.
"Just spend an epic, guided fly fishing day on The Dream Stream. We were the only ones catching fish, and we landed over 15 fish! We sighted fish, my guide told me where to cast and we hooked 4 species: brown, rainbow, cutbow, and Kokanee. These were some beautiful fish - EPIC! You gotta visit the shop as well; the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced!"
"My wife and I booked two full-day trips with Trouts, one for both of us and one with me solo. Both days far exceeded any and all expectations we had for our first Colorado fishing experience. Scott D. was an incredible guide. His knowledge of the river, the fish, the bugs, the area made for a true life experience. Thank you Scott! Thank you Trouts!"
"On a recent trip to Denver, my wife and I decided last minute to go fly fishing. Trouts Fly Fishing was extremely accommodating and was able to make this spontaneous decision happen. We met up with our guide Justin and fished the Platte river. Justin had us on fish within minutes of getting on the water and we stayed on fish all day. We caught a ton of browns, and my wife topped off the day landing a really nice rainbow. We can't thank Justin enough for sharing his knowledge of fly fishing and for making our trip to Denver (and to the Platte) one we'll always cherish."
"We had a truly amazing day fishing the Colorado River with Zeke Hersh (Trouts Frisco Head Guide). I've fished with guides all over the country, and Zeke is by far the most knowledgeable to date! He put us on one fish after another, untangled our lines, tied on new rigs, all while maneuvering white water in a drift boat! I learned a ton from Zeke in the one day we were out fishing with him. Zeke truly knows where every fish in that river lives! We also had a great lunch, lots of laughs, and were able to take in some beautiful scenery. Thanks so much to Zeke and the fellas at Trouts for such professional amazing service!"
