Current River Flow Updates

Latest Update: 10/14/23

Tenmile is flowing at 24 CFS at Frisco. Hopper droppers are your best bet at the moment. Amys ants, chubbies and hippy stompers from a #12-14 followed by a beadhead worm, pheasant tail or perdigon in a #14-18 have been working well.

Historical River Flow

River Information

Tenmile is a small creek originating from the confluence of several streams south of Copper Mountain. Cutthroat can be found in its upper reaches, as we move down the system we begin to start encountering more Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout. This fishery tends to be overlooked due to its proximity to other more well known rivers but it is certainly productive and fun to fish in its own right. Browns and Rainbows in the 6-12" range are common in the lower stretches mixed in with the occasional 14-16" fish.

Seasonal Conditions

Tenmile fishes well from May-October with prime terrestrial fishing beginning after runoff and going into September.

River access

Due to the creek's location directly along I-70 access along its lower stretches is limited. Two easy points of access are the tenmile canyon trail at the western edge of Frisco as well as Officers Gulch, located a couple more miles west of Frisco off of I-70.
