For this month's episode of Five Flies, we are excited to welcome a familiar face back into the fold, Tanner Smith. The OG. The original and now presumptive host of Five Flies is back at Trouts. As a welcome back present, we limited him to staying on the front range and in cell phone service because video man Ivan Orsic's wife is a solid 8.5 months pregnant. With high flows on many of our freestones, Tanner wanted to feature the quality fishing that you can get into on many of the state's productive stillwaters.

Whether you're twitching leeches, hanging a couple of chironomids in the chop, or targeting those stillwater risers, stillwaters can be super productive this time of year. If you put in the time on this state's stillwaters, the pay off will often be with a trout that you'll measure in pounds and not inches.
