Not only are these good opportunities to volunteer your time but are an awesome opportunity to learn a river system more in-depth, not to mention a great opportunity to meet some fellow anglers as well. Boulder Creek Clean-Up: (2 occurrences) Friday, Aug. 13th & Saturday, August 14th from 9 AM to 1 PM, meeting at the Boulder Library, please sign up as the number of people allowed is limited.
Mineral Park Project: Saturday, August 14 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM to help with the revegetation of the Mineral Park Project above Alma, CO. Please bring spades/shovels/picks/etc. to help plant seedlings and willows.
Big South Angling Survey: Monday, August 16 - Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Long Draw Rd, Bellvue, CO. In teams of two, anglers will spread out along the Cache la Poudre River around Peterson Lake and Big South to fish and record catch information (species, length, weight, tag information). Anglers will be accompanied by a monitor to help record catch information.
Clean The DREAM: Saturday, August 21 from 8 AM to about 2 PM, in Guffey, CO Risers 4 Rett will be partnering with fly fishing guide Landon Mayer to support the Clean the Dream event on August 21st. Donuts will be served in the morning.
Blue River Cleanup: Saturday, August 28 from 8 AM - 2 PM in Silverthorne, CO. Each group will be assigned to a section of the river to fish for garbage and clean the banks. Volunteers will meet at their river cleanup location. Clean from 9 to noon and then celebrate a job well done with free lunch, beer, music, and awesome prizes at the Historic Park in Frisco from noon to 2:30 pm.
Poudre Headwaters Capture and Mark Survey: Monday, September 20 - Thursday, September 23 near the Corral Creek Trailhead in Bellvue, CO. Need volunteers to assist biologists in the mark and recapture process. Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife staff will be present to give training and will help coordinate access to Long Draw Road.
